Paddock boots are used for English horseback riding. Adults use them for everyday wear and children wear paddocks for horse shows as well as schooling. Many women equestrians wear paddock boots everyday, both on and off of their horses. The toe box provides horseback riders protection when you are stepped on. The heel is there to make sure your foot does not slip through the stirrup irons.
To know if your paddock boots fit:
1) Zipper Paddock boots will slip in the heel. That is okay.
2) Push your foot all they way up into the toe and see if you can fit at least one finger behind your heel.
3) Wear the exact socks you will ride in to try on your Paddock boots.
